Trip to Alaska July 6th

When we woke up this morning the winds had died down and the weather looked like it would be good all the way back into 16x. We decided we would make the trip home in one leg, which we calculated would take us about four hours. Keep telling yourself don't drink much water :>} I actually still had about an hour of fuel on board when we landed.

The flight home was fairly uneventful and we landed in Justin, TX 16X at 12:30 with a few of our airport friends and my wife Traudl, along with my son Steve, my daugther-in-law Jamie and my youngest grandaughter Courtney there to greet us. My wife had brought out a welcome home cake with some wine and we all had a little welcome home party of sort.

This was the end to a very long journey that was very enjoyable, filled with new experiences and sites. I have to say this probably wasn't the most economical way the see this area with the price of gas and the weak dollar when in Canada, but overall it was a trip that everyone should try at least once.

Well, this is the end of this blog. Now I have to think of another trip that can add a little spice to the flying :>} My wife says "hey give it a break buddy and get after that "Honey do list" you've been ignoring.
